Heather Barnes started out as an Independent Financial Advisor. Heather says “I spent over 12 years helping companies and individuals maximise their wealth. With investors looking for growth opportunities in a market where pensions performed poorly, interest rates are low and stock market returns are volatile, I found more and more clients seeking advice on adding international property to their portfolio of savings and investments. As a result, I have thoroughly researched the overseas property investment market and aligned myself with countries and developers with whom due diligence has been tried, tested and published”

Four years ago Heather Barnes Overseas Property Investment & Sales was born.

Heather had only recently started her overseas property investment company when she was invited to join a local breakfast networking meeting, BNI, Upon realising the IFA category in her local group was already filled, Heather saw this as a perfect reason to really launch her overseas property business. “For the first few months I received no business referrals at all, but I wasn’t worried, I knew members needed to get to know, like and trust me before they’d even think about referring their contacts into spending hard-earned savings buying a property on my advice” Within a couple of months the business turnover had increased by £750,000, all by colleague referrals.
